My mom grew up during the depression and liver, kidney, beef heart was the only meat they could afford. Fortunately, she continued to serve this food to us long after the depression was over! It must be good because she is 99.4 now and has never had a doctor!

I get organs, grind them and add them to ground beef... 1/3 liver to 2/3 ground beef. My kids have NO idea!

Best liver is from grass fed animal! Little tip: when you put liver in the pan, fry it just a little bit on each side and don't put a salt on it. After is done, I put salt and pepper on it and diced onions with salt and pepper. On top of it I put another batch of liver and so on. If you don't salt liver while preparing it, it will hold juices and taste much better.

I always make sure that the liver I buy comes from animals that were not alcoholics.

Liver is high in vitamin A, folic acid, iron, and zinc. Liver is the most nutrient dense organ meat, and it is a powerful source of vitamin A. Vitamin A is beneficial for eye health and for reducing diseases that cause inflammation, including everything from Alzheimer's disease to arthritis.👍

The best shape I’ve ever been on my life was when I ate liver 2 times a week. I would cook it with spices and onions. I would feel so full that sometimes I’d skip dinner end just drink a smoothie. Love it!

In Greece liver, especially beef liver, is widely eaten either fried in extra virgin olive oil liberally sprinkled with oregano, or grilled, again sprinkled with oregano and/or accompanied with sautéed onions. In either case it is delicious and we eat it from a very early age, thus we are not adverse to its taste and/or texture; on the contrary we love it! I am glad to hear you say that it is a superfood! One of my (many) culinary surprises when I migrated to the States in the late 60s had to do with my discovery, to my dismay, that liver was not...loved (to put it mildly!) but, dare I say...reviled?
I love it!

I’ve been taking 9 grams of desiccated beef liver in capsule form(12 750mg capsules) for over a year I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my energy levels, my gut health, my gum disease, and I believe a small increase in muscle growth gains.

No food has blown my mind more than liver. I have felt the euphoria from eating a good steak, but I am not exaggerating when I say that liver has probably saved my life. My depression, complete with suicidal thoughts, lifted almost immediately. I encourage everyone on the carnivore diet to give it a go.

The key to delicious liver is to not over cook. Cook in butter and rosemary and squirt generous amounts of lemon with each bite. Tasty.

I started carnivore due to you and in 50 years of life I don’t believe that I ever had liver but I did look up some recipes and I love it now I don’t see what all the fuss is about. It’s really good. Thank you

We always ate liver growing up. Liver, heart, gizzards and the occasional pork brain. My Mom always called the chicken (or turkey) liver the "cook's piece" and she and I would "fight" over it. LOL! She would split it with me in the end. My husband won't eat it but I try to have some at least once a week. Going to try Neisha's pate recipe soon!
Edited to add: A friend of mine makes some of the BEST Liver and onions. She has the butcher cut the liver 1/2 to 1 inch thick. Cook in bacon grease with a bit of pink in center yet and she cooks the onions separate.

I just ate liver for the first time in a couple of years and I swear I could feel the nutrients enter my body before I was finished chewing my first bite. Like a kind of energy entered my brain and body at the same time. I felt the same way when I ate freshly killed elk heart a few years back. There is no pill you can take to replicate that.

I just bought beef liver. Cut a few thin slices, fried in bacon fat for 10 minutes, put some salt and ate it. Tastes great, even without soaking in milk or frying with onlions. The rest of it I will boil, then ground with some bacon, to make a 100% carnivore paste, with zero vegetable oils, sugar ir additives, unlike grocery store version.

I eat 50 grams three times a week. After adding it to my already strict diet I have noticed a bump in energy and endorphins. It’s doing something. I do not eat anything different (EVER), I’m very disciplined. So when I added the liver I noticed the benefits.

77 year old grandma here my siblings, and I all grew up on deer meat and elk and I’m the only one that will eat it so when they go hunting, I am gifted with the deer meat and elk. Have never had elk liver so this time I thought I’d try it. With onions and green peppers and garlic. It was amazing and then I wanted to know the nutritional value of it. and of course your channel popped up which was appropriate because I’ve been watching you for years. Thank you for everything you do for the community.
