I can confirm that modders and cheaters still dominate lobbies.
This "anti-cheat" is a joke, just like Rockstar is.

The Steam Deck absolutely is compatible with BattleEye, Rockstar just didn't enable the Linux support. Instead they're passing the bucket to Steam (and they can't do anything about it), Ubisoft-style. The fact that they're lying about it is a clear sign that they have no intention to enable the anti-cheat for Steam-Deck/Linux.

From what Ive heard, BattlEye is also in R6, and that game is having plenty of cheaters atm. While rn its better i feel like somethings gonna happen

BattlEye is compatible with Linux/Steam Deck. It's up to Rockstar to decide if the software is allowed to run or not, and judging by their statements, it seems they don't care about it.

It's already pretty much back to what it was before. Already encountered 4 modders which is the usual amount per session from my experience. The anti cheat lasted for only 9 hours

This is nice to some extent, they obviously did this so if PC gets e&e content, they can capitalise from GTA+ sales since modded heists will be retiring now. I can see loads of people who hate inflation in this game being upset about this

It doesn't work. Its causing people to get kicked off online. 6 hours later people found a work around so we are back to where were before the update.

BattleEye may be shit, but at least it will detect and get rid of the brainless cheaters who just install a single menu and start ruining games. Now you'll need bypasses and shit. More effort to cheat.

There are still modders, but since the days I played after this update, I only encountered 2 modders till today so far (normally it would have been 7 to 10 a day, literally every session), it was so refreshing and peacefull (sadly it won't last for long...)
