As someone who lives 10 minutes from there, sometimes its easy to forget just how much we have. I recommend sitting up on scouters mtn near there if you get another night as it has a great view of mt Hood and is peaceful. So many great places for prayer and contemplation.

I live in Washington and yeah the Pacific Northwest has some very cool forests. I especially enjoy the incredibly primordial feeling ones. The giant conifers, moss, and life everywhere feels like you have walked back into time immemorial. They always remind me of Legolas's description of the forest of Fangorn: ‘”It is old, very old, ” said the Elf. “So old that I almost feel young again, as I have not felt since I journeyed with you children. It is old and full of memory. I could have been happy here, if I had come in days of peace.”‘

We’re visiting family in Oregon right now also! We grew up here… it can be gloomy many months in winter, but it’s so beautiful in the summer. Like heaven on earth!

My husband and I went to Oregon for our second honeymoon last summer and hiking in Washington Park in the middle of downtown Portland you feel like you are in a forest. It is so beautiful. We also went to the Rose Test Gatden there twice during our trip. I loved how beautiful Pregnant you was. Enjoy! ❤️

Use to live in Portland. As bad as it may be in a lot of ways if you’re a Christian, at the same time there’s beautiful hikes nearby and some great trendy food you can’t get anywhere else
