I was always told as a kid, growing up next to a large forest, that if the woods go quiet either you follow suit or run out of the area. It means all the prey animals have gone quiet because a large predator is nearby.

I really enjoyed this. I have lived near Gresham for many years. We camped in the Mt Hood parks and forests from the time I was small until I got too old! Oregon has such incredibly beautiful forests and wildernesses.

This story was awesome. People said it was boring, but it wasn't at all. That's how you build up atmosphere. When the beast was constantly chasing the main character wind raged outside my window and man, that made the atmosphere even creepier.

Grown up in central Oregon and you stay out of the woods at night lots of weird stuff and creepy places plus people dissapear all the time so stay safe and stay on the trails and don't go near the sounds especially during a full moon
