Great video, your love for Joyce's work shines through. There was a copy of Ulysses in my house growing up and I remember attempting it as a teen but giving up. 😳

Thank you for this video. I am curious if you think that someone could use this as a reading copy to enjoy reading Ulysses. do you think it is too large and heavy or do you think it could be practically used? Also, is there a built-in bookmark? I don't know what the end papers are made of either and I'm curious.

The idea for your Portrait of the Artist as a Man of Letters was, is, very inspired. Surely it looked great, and will be great if you decide to do it again.

Whoops, forgot to ask you about the print size. Is it a decent size font? I am not looking for anything too small. Thank you!

The Folio society came out with an excellent 100th anniversary edition of Ulysses. It sold out in about 3 weeks. There were only 500 printed. I received number 75.

I feel lucky that no one told me what I could or couldn't read. I did read Ulysses years ago but I can't say I have a lot of familiarity with it by memory. But Dubliners was amazing and The Dead is one of my favorites. Something about Irish writers really gets me.

This year I'm going to try to read it for the first time, but first I want to re-read The Odyssey (the new translation of Emily Wilson) and Dubliners and Portrait... maybe Tristram Shandy, this would be a year long project

Very interesting video and I enjoyed it very much! I love listening to people talk about Ulysses and Joyce in general. Have you ever also read the two other, what people consider, "big three" difficult novels? As in Infinite Jest by Wallace and Gravity's Rainbow by Pynchon? Also, what do/did you think of Finnegans Wake? Good video
