So it looks like Warframe has messed up and made the community made with the addition of Regal Aya. This will be a new premium currency that will be used during the primed resurgence event in order to buy the premium cosmetics and prime packs. Instead of just straight up purchasing the prime packs for money. This allows for more custom purchases, but also seems to be a way DE is creating new cash shops with premium non tradeable currency. Oh well sad times tencent Warframe may be heading this direction.

This feels like a Tencent influenced decision.

The regular Aya results in the value of Primes dropping in trade chat, but because the Prime packs have no plat, players cannot take advantage of the lowered trade prices while buying just the Prime accessories

yeah I am agreeing here. "AYA" the Free to play grindable in game item = Good job . "Regal Aya" Not so much. I was one who only put real money on prime unveilings, and it was my source of plat. Regal Aya is not worth the increase in price to not have plat as well.

This is awful. The only reason I bought prime packs because the plat included was worth the price alone. These don't include plat, so they're inherently less valuable.

Plus this is just prime vault with extra steps.

Again, this is only about making money for DE. This means your stock of Plat won't work. If DE wanted to make money there are changes that would cause the user base to expand, which will cause money to flow in.

1. These changes would be an ego offense, as the designers don't want to shorten the length of the game. In other words, the game takes years to master, most players don't want to waste 5 to 10 years on a game.

2. They want to cater to the masters of the game, but tend to be blind where the money comes from, the beginners.

3. Being able to start over with another frame would be nice.

4. Leveling up takes too long. Since a level is just a matter of time and a test, the Master Rank is nothing more than a change of grade in school. It has nothing to do with your ability to use the tools and apply the mods. Most of the players are out of grade school, so this ranking has no lure outside of the inflated ego trip of continually working up. It is like bragging about how many college hours you have, no one cares!

The issue with the regal Aya is that it doesn't come with platinum like normal prime packs, but still costs the same. Which makes it a worse deal then the previous system. The only benefit is that you can select specific parts of the bundles ( like an armor piece or noggle) for cheaper then getting the whole bundle.
On the other hand, the free to play currency Aya looks like it will be really good. It let's us select the relics we want specifically, making the farm much better! Looking forward to that at least. Skip the premium stuff and farm everything yourself

The way I see it, it's convenient for people who don't have much time to play, like me who's studying & working part time. I can just drop some money to get what I want without wasting much of my time. I hate rng in this game.

For the Americans who can’t be bothered to search up the conversions, 1 CAD is equal to .80 USD aka the most expensive pack is ~$66

This makes each prime warframe worth ~$13 and each prime weapon worth ~$9

In essence the bundles are slightly more expensive prime access packs (this applies to both the single and dual packs)

*All of these numbers assume you are buying the most expensive regal aya pack

Better way is just buy Primes from other players with plat, its going to be way cheaper

I know people hate stuff like this in free to play games or whatever, but it’s part of how they stay afloat. I might buy one pack to show support but the rest I’m farming. Overpaying on games is a stupid idea anyway.

I've done a fair bit of the math regarding this topic to help others make their choice on whether to purchase Regal Aya or not. Personally, I won't, but there is some value here - *some* value...

Basically, in USD, you would normally spend $20 on individual Accessory packs, $40 on individual Warframe sets or $60 on a combination of the two with both Frames at the time included. These would have 200, 400 and 1200 Plat respectively.

With Prime Resurgence, a whole dual park is valued at 10 Regal Aya. A x15 pack is set at $80, meaning you essentially spend ~$53 on the dual pack. While this saves you all of $7, you lose 1200 Plat from the deal. However, you get 50K Endo in place of that Plat. Endo is valued at 100/50p, meaning you get 2500p worth of Endo in this deal. Worth noting is that farming the endless bounty on Deimos could get you that much Endo on a weekend grind, so it's up to you if that 50k is actually worth the trade off. (It isn't to me.)

Now, if you decide to purchase two of the x15 packs, you can nab any three of the eight dual packs outright. While you might be spending $160, you're essentially saving $20 because those three dual packs would cost $180 altogether across the 3/4 year wait for all three to be available, assuming those three happen to be what you want, which isn't likely given some of the dual packs are kinda ass. The downside? You're trading 3600 Plat for 150K Endo. Again, the math sets that 150K Endo at being equal to 7500p, but Endo is still easy to earn so it's up to you if that math matters.

So, at the cost of losing some Plat in exchange for a ton of Endo, you do save some money with Regal Aya versus the typical Prime Unvaultings. It really boils down to preference, but I'd honestly just look at the cosmetics and purchase accordingly on that. Since 1 Aya = 1 Relic and you will get Aya instead of Relics throughout the event, plus you can just pick the relics you want when converting that Aya, there's almost no point to those Regal packs at all outside those cosmetics, personally. But again, it's preference.

Do people not understand this? I fucking love this, of course you can buy packs like normal but let's say you only want the Warframe or just one of the cosmetics. Now you don't have to buy abunch of shit you don't want just to get the one you want. You can spend less now and only get that one thing.

I think it's almost the same as just buying plat then heading to trade chat to buy Primes easily off other players. The affect that this will have on trades hopefuly won't be too much.
