Budget Speech 2025 | Social grants increased

Government spending is expected to reach R2.4 trillion this year, growing at a rate of 5.6% over the next three years. Additional spending requirements came from an extension to the SRD grant to March next year, above inflation public service wage increases, frontline services, social grant increase and infrastructure. Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana was delivering his budget speech in Parliament.

Easy to reduce the budget, get rid of the excess ministers with out portfolio in the parliament, make the parliament smaller, let the politions take a pay cut, stop the 5 course meals parliamentary personal eat everyday foor free, let them take their own lunch, thet they get their medical insurance, let them pay for their own transport and costs.

Tbh giving an increase in grants to the elderly and disabled is probably the right thing to do.
Giving blanket grants to everyone just because, is destructive and counter productive.
It's time to cut back on populist policies. People want to live productive lives and have a stake in South Africa through land ownership that they earned themselves.

In who's expenses does this social grants increasing? Foreigners from Lesotho, Swaziland Mozambique Botswana Zimbabwe are illegally earning social grants while South Africans suffer in labour. Worse there are girls who have more than five babies below the age of 30 years but don't look for work. There are also housewives who earn old age social grants but never looked for work their entire life. Workers are slaves of politicians, foreigners and the unemployed this country because of the ANC.

130 rand increase = 60 eggs 2 loaves bread. Are they crazy? While they drive big fancy cars, live in mansions. What about pensioners clothes and transport and decent food allowance. They say apartheid was bad. 🙄
