Inb4 I get a bunch of people saying the alt right somehow isn't racist.

Oof, forgot about the people who will claim that paladin isn't alt right. I don't know about y'all but Racism plus Right Wing is a pretty easy recipe for alt right, no?

"That's what my character would do!" - "Sure, and that's how your character's god would react".

the Paladin was a dick, but i love how the Cleirc just went: "can i be an Oathbreaker too since we serve the same god?" and the DM was cool with it and made up their own homebrew for that. that's the sign of a cool DM.

This is not a Lawful Good character. This is a Lawful Evil character with an amazing deception skill. So great in fact is their skill that they can deceive themselves in believing they are good.

Castle doctrine and stand your ground, for when your home is invaded. Paladin, using it for when he's invading other people's territory.

The Kenku Rogue here. Just pinged this to the DM for her to go take a watch. No doubt she'll be here soon enough.

Well. On one hand, I can’t say he didn’t play a Zap Brannigan incorrectly

At least two oaths broken:

Honor. Treat others with fairness, and let your honorable deeds be an example to them. Do as much good as possible while causing the least amount of harm.
Duty. Be responsible for your actions and their consequences, protect those entrusted to your care, and obey those who have just authority over you.

The moment Chuck described his paladin as being "similar to Zap Branagan, " he was admitting to making a lawful stupid character. Nothing surprised me after that.

Paladin: Why did you judge me?
DM: You killed an innocent orc.
Paladin: A mean's to an end!
DM: You started a massacre!
Paladin: I stood my ground!
DM: You betrayed the law!

Friend, you missed an opportunity to say:
Now I’m not a Republican or a Democrab.

If it weren’t for the rest of the video, I as the DM in that situation would be really excited about how those two characters would work out, it would have been really interesting to have a story about a rogue and paladin being buddies, the paladin learning to not be so crazy in his pursuit for justice and the rogue getting some moral guidance. If only...

Real world laws only work in the “real” world,
D&D is a fantasy world that’s laws are constructed by the DM. all the books and reference material are to give you ideas on laws, regulations, monsters, deities, magic, items, and magical items.
And yes thanks to the medieval setting and all of the different races there will be normally a lot of racial undertones that can be placed within a story. But as the writer said “actions have consequences”. If you’re aligned with a god that wouldn’t like you killing unarmed and surrendered opponents, then you’re going to face consequences.
It’s not even a difficult concept for people to understand. (at least it shouldn’t.)

If that's how he plays a "Lawful" character, imagine if he went full blown Chaotic.

"Be the champion of the weak and the defenseless.
Be stern, unyielding and unswerving in your battles with evil.
Obey your masters with alert judgment and anticipation.
Serve the common good and the rule law established by honorable rulers.
Seek prowess and skill in all endeavors.
Stand ever alert against corruption.
Every failure of duty diminishes Torm and every success adds to his luster.
Be ever mindful of the code, and use them in your actions to swiftly enact justice."

- The Code of Torm, as written by the sages of the Candlekeep forums.

As a gnome paladin of Torm I feel disgusted to see my god's image tarnished like that.

At the line that, orcs aren't people, I would have informed him that as a final and permanent act, Torm turns Chuck into an Orc.

Regardless of real-world beliefs and political views, the oaths a paladin takes in 5e clearly state what a paladin should and should not do.
One of the Tenets of Devotion (the tenets of the oath Chuck was sworn to) reads:
Compassion. Aid others, protect the weak, and punish those who threaten them. Show mercy to your foes, but temper it with wisdom.
Executing orcs who have laid down their weapons and surrendered after a mere 6 seconds of combat (1 round), and especially who were originally out to hunt animals rather than rob people, is perhaps the opposite of showing mercy. The players didn't even know those particular orcs, Chuck just executed them for being orcs. If this is "tempered with wisdom, " in what scenario would Chuck consider mercy?

Orcs: "Our bad, dudes. We were out hunting. Sorry about the traps. Are you okay?"

Nazi Paladin: "Cowabunga it is!"

Uhh, I think that the Paladin thought he was playing Warhammer Fantasy. He didn't really grasp the concept of Torm or the orcs in DND.
