SHIMANO Twin Power XD 2021 Impression and Review - Lightened? Durable?

eXtra Durability - renewed spinning reel SHIMANO 21 Twin Power XD review - is the half metalic body really weak? Is it really worth buying?

Much lightened from previous '17 model, but with the same half metalic, half Ci4+ body as 20 Twin Power, that was received "disliking" comments from some Japanese anglers.

Today we use the reel and see, is it really a worse update or not? How is the reel actually? Is it really usable or worth purchasing?

Hi, what size do you recommend to pair with my graphiteleader argento ux 982M? Rated 7-40g lure and weighs 160g.

Thanks a lot for posting this info and review. I target Snook, Redfish, Spanish Mackerel (2-7 Kg) from the beach (USA and South America Atlantic) with lures 20-50 grams and occasionally just toss live bait. I wanted a light and strong reel and came to the conclusion between a Twinpower XD 21' or a Certate LT 19' to pair with a couple of rods 2.1 m (200 gr) and 2.4 m (260 gr). An important technical detail is the gear ratio. I aim to get a reel with the lowest possible gear ratio (for torque + durability) while having a retrieve speed of 90+cm. Although I love the looks and technology of the Certate LT, only the high geared models (HX 6.2:1) retrieve 90+cm, so at some point this may cause premature wear by pulling 20-50 gr lures and fish constantly in the Surf. Now, the Twinpower XD 21' 4000HG (245 gr), with a relatively low gear ratio of 5.8:1, a nice retrieve per turn of 95 cm. Which of these reels will be more durable and best suited for my Fishing?

Question. The twin power XD 5000xg said on there that it can spool up PE #2 300m. When I tried to spool it up with electrical tape to take advantage of the whole line but it ended up over fill. What do you think?

Hello Japan Fishing Tackle News, is it good quality then Daiwa 24 Certate ? and the C3000 is mix for the rod 2-5kg, is it good for salt water and is it good for land base bait fishing . Do you have issue with the bail hitting your knuckles when reeling? I bought the 5000 and the bail comes awfully close to the rod and where my hand sits. Thanks

I have 2 certates one LT and one SW.. would you bother getting a TP to test it out or just go another certate? Thinking something around 5000-6000SW size
