You’ve seen it in the videos and chances are you’ve never seen it before or even heard of it. What is the X-Air Standard? More importantly, how does it fly compared to other aircraft? Another common question, is it an ultralight? Find out here in this video!

I had an X-Air LSA. Great bird and great value for cost to buy and operate.

Nice to see an recent trip in a Xair. Took me back to my 1st microlight in the uk which was a Xair Falcon (flaps). So much fun and like you say " to land drop the throttle off". I could get into any short strip and if I was abit fast, just side slip!! "" thanks for sharing

This is the type of video I have been looking for 👌 bloody great 👍rather than just show the aircraft flying, you talk about the aircraft itself, something that has been lacking in most X-Air video's, really great job, well done 👍.

I bought an Xair standard 582, long range tank. Very impressed. Using an airport till I can master short fielders to under 140m then in my paddock with 220m no go around options. Hence why I was asking what your shortest landing was.

Flying one of these this week for the 1st time. It's a bit more rudimentary than the Flight Design CT2K I usually fly. But I'm really looking forward to it. Came across this video as research alongside with reading the POH.

It’s a shame that they are not considered ultralight aircraft. Most specifications are correct for an American UltraLite, the only two killers are the aircraft’s empty wait, and the two seats. Although I would be interested if you could get it on some form of waiver. Although I’m sure some people out there have been flying them without any license or training and we just don’t know about it. It’s probably good that we don’t know, it means they’ve been successful. And haven’t had any crashes.

So I download YouTube videos all the time. I have this really old one called first flight with no training. And I’m pretty sure that he’s flying in a x-air standard. I don’t know as I am blind and I didn’t grab the video version, just the MP3 as there is no point as I can’t see and I just listened to these videos with audio. Also, the video has been removed from YouTube. Your comment about it not being an ultralight is probably why. Interestingly, I have the MP3 version of this video as well so I can listen to it as many times as I need to without having to go online. But I just wonder. These things really are the best easiest aircraft. I wonder why they couldn’t be considered as ultralight? I feel like it’s a big loss. Let’s hope the government around the world have a think about maybe making exemptions for these aircraft and allowing them to be license free. They are easy enough to fly.

I enjoyed this video thankyou, does the xair suffer much from adverse yaw?, do you need coordinated Rudder in a turn please.

You may not called an ultralight, but it's still falls under 103 guidelines does it not?
