Hey Galen, I'm a German listener of 538 and I really enjoy your coverage of elections! In Germany polling organisations predict the results via exit polls very accuratly right after the polls close. The biggest divergence I can remember was maybe 2%. I think it is similar in countries like the U.K. So why isn't that possible in the U.S.? I would love to know why.
