I did this exact setup on my Grom and love it. However the ESC seems to have the drag brake set to 100% causing it to flip often under braking. I tried to find a programming card for the ESC but it says it is unavailable on Amazon. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

I love this little truck. I originally picked it up to give away as an angel tree gift but I found out I couldn’t control the age of the recipient and didn’t want a 6yo getting their hands on a LIPO. I was going to return it but started using it and man, it’s the perfect speed and size for a new user. I’m getting all my god kids one.

I picked up one of these other day from my local hobby dealer and it my first basher style truck. I've only had crawlers...but this little thing is a blast! It's surprisingly quick as well.... only complaints is cannot stand the clip system for the body and the remote is very top heavy and always has to be laid on its side which always mess's with me seeing as how I'm used to traxxas it's awesome and is making me consider a full size basher 💯

Good rc, it's only weakness is it's rear diff. Gotta replace it every now and then buts worth it.

Wait are you saying that to run the 2838 Combo you had to bore out the pinion?

hype, how did you mount that fan on the heatsink?

Did you have to get that separate part for the servo to mount or does this upgraded esc hold it down like the stock one?

These haven't been released in the UK yet but I have it on Pre-Order and can't wait to get it. I have the 3S Typhon and it is absolutely my favourite RC. Love the fact they have made improvements on the design. The Granite Grom's body clip system was horrible and yeah it overheats badly so the fan is a nice addition. I wonder what Grom will be next.. Outcast or Kraton?
