You play Eshe, a wanderer in a ruined world, trapped in ever-­changing caverns filled with hordes of terrifying enemies. Harness the power of corrupted relics to defeat gigantic bosses, at the cost of your humanity. Resist or embrace.

Sundered: Eldritch Edition includes the Magnate of the Gong update, adding local co-op multiplayer support for up to 4 players, along with new areas and a chaotic battle against the new Magnate of the Gong boss!

Best ones I've played are Hollow Knight, Ori and the blind forest, Dead cells and now Sundered. Great metroidvanias. I loved dust an Elysian tale too

Ori and the blind forest is hands-down perfect in every aspect for me. The fact that it's getting a sequel makes me even more satisfied.

First Metroidvania I completed was castlevania circle of the moon, so that is the one I have fondest memories of.

Favorite Metroidvania is of course Metroid: Samus Returns on the 3DS.

My favorite Metroidvania games I've ever played are Dust: An Elysian Tail and Ori and the Blind Forest for Xbox 360 and Xbox One respectively. I'd love to get a Nintendo Switch so I would eventually play Steamworld Dig 2 and Iconoclasts.

I love hectic gameplay, especially bullet hell, but this game just... Overwhelms you... There's a hundred enemies just swarming you and it comes down to button mash and pray you make it out. I wish it allowed for more tactical play

My favourite metroidvania is Hollow Knight. That game really is a 10/10 for me too.

Metroid Fusion is still my favorite (mostly because of the universe), but threre are so many good metroidvanias those days .
"NOW" is a good time to be a metroidvania lover... (you may be a retrogaming fan, a pixelart (8 bits, 16 bits fan or a any other art fan)
and the SWITCH is the place to be. :-)
Like always, thanks for the review (because yes, in this jungle of good metroidvanias, there are still some bad ones to avoid and a review is much aprecietad before spending 20$/€/£)

Admittedly I’ve never played hollow nights, and from what the way people are hyping it up I almost don’t want to because I’m afraid it’ll taint my experience with future Metroid vanias.

1. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
2. Super Metroid
3. Shadow Complex
4. Axiom Verge
5. Hollow Knight
