Lol. If your house isn't selling, that means the price is too high.

The sellers that won't drop prices will simply pull their listings off the market.

The home 🏠 prices are falling but the interest rates on the mortgage is going to be higher 🙄

Still overpriced. Bring it down another 35%.

I live in Huntington Beach down south OC. There was a house that sold in a day for 1.1 Million. My mom bought her house for $88K in the 80s and it’s also worth the same. Insane really.

No mention of asking price in this report because nobody wants to be a laughing stock 😂 Bay Area realtors must be quite nervous right about now.

Why is this presented as a bad thing? Homes are now luxury items that few can afford - it's ridiculous. Life is becoming too expensive to live.

People that bought homes a long time ago shouldn't sell cuz there isn't home to buy now days. Be thankful you have a home. On the other hand i don't blame anyone trying to leave CALIFORNIA.

Too expensive for living in a FREE CRIME ZONE. Make it a CRIME FREE ZONE and we can talk prices again. People are fools to pay these prices to live in the Bay Area.

This is an editorial, not news. They are telling us with their trained vocal tones that dropping home prices is a bad thing.
it is for those selling their homes.
It is not for the majority of homeowners who can enjoy a reduction in property taxes if the price drop continues.
It is not for those who can barely afford housing in our USA.
I pray the price of homes keep dropping - to reach the level of affordable housing. Wouldn't that be a concept!.

Please God, let this continue. It's time for us regular folk to get into houses.. you shouldn't need a 7 figure income to buy a house. You shouldn't even need a SIX figure income to buy one..

Those numbers aren't indicative of a "plunge" in housing prices. When those numbers start reaching 30, 40, 50%+ then you can start referring to the housing market prices plunging.

Nobody buy anything! Save up and wait a year. Then watch these sellers fold

The prices are dropping because more people are moving out of California than moving in, and investors don’t like buying where crime and Covid restrictions are above other states where populations are increasing.

Sellers holding out will be disappointed. Here in San Antonio prices are dropping 20-30k and being told by local realtors that sellers are offering up to 20k in cash concessions on top of that. If you're holding out for a buyer, be prepared to close at far less desirable terms.
