Awaiting the new The Rolling Stones album Hackney Diamonds I am taking a closer look at the full discography of The Rolling Stones.

This series of videos has arrived in 1994 when The Rolling Stones release the album ‘Voodoo Lounge’. Looking back on it almost 30 years later; what does it sound like?

I bought the 2024 Reissue from Abbey Road and I understand your hesitancy. Often they are hit or miss. I do find since I added a subwoofer that these half-speed masters sound a bit better, but maybe it's the Subwoofer from Denmark! This album and Steel Wheels mean a bit more for me because I saw both Stones tours for these albums! The 2024 reissue came with a 10" bonus album as well with 4 tracks, so a super long release! Cheers

I’m a mega-fan of the Stones and believe everything from Steel Wheels on have some good stuff, some bad stuff. There’s usually 2 or 3 good songs. Back in the ‘68-‘72 era they had 5-6 great songs per album.

I love this album, even though it suffers from cd bloat.

“I Go Wild” and “Brand New Car” are the only tracks I would’ve taken off. Without them it would’ve been an A minus listening experience.

I'm replacing a collection I had stolen forty years ago after which I gave up on vinyl as it broke me mentally. Never liked this album. So close to being a great album if they just tried a bit harder. Not quite there. Very frustrating.
