Best explanation of what should be a straight-forward tool. Those pixologic people must be on some heavy meds. Most convoluted GUI ever created.

Probably the best explanation of the quirky over convoluted transpose tool on YouTube bar none, thank god Pixologic have finally discovered what a real transform gizmo should look like in R8 ;)

Thank you Christian! It took me a while to understand the Transpose tool, so I made sure I explained it correctly. I will add an extra bit of video explaining the small white circle at the end, which centers the Transpose tool onto the object, plus I will edit-out all the "alright?" And "OK?" In the audio! More videos coming soon

Thanks for this video! Cleared up all the confusion I had about this tool.

Thank you so much. I agree with the comments below. The best explanation of the transpose tool I've found. I've previously found it quite confusing in an otherwise very intuitive tool box.

I have one question though. How do you centre the transpose tool in a mesh? For example: placing the tool at the centre of a polymesh sphere so that I can be rotated on it's axis.

Great Tutorial!
Do you have a video on how to customise the zbrush ui like yours.

First, duplicade the file (in case my sugestion destroys the file.) Then merge all the Subtools you want to scale together, make your transformation, and then do a Split To Similar Pieces and it will separate the Subtools you merged at the beginning. Hope this helps!

Thanks for this vid! I'd love to know why the programmers make the scale-in-one-dimension functionality part of the move tool? Makes no sense at all, sigh. Silly ZBrush...

ok, we need to use the move tool to scale an object non-proportionally... totally logical...
great soft anyway, and thanks for your tuts.

I know with this tool you can do amazing stuff, but it is just ridiculously hard to understand for newcomers. They could of given the gizmo a lot earlier to us. Anyway, so many pros have praised this tool so I will learn it no matter what.

Congrats, especially to the effort to include some graphics to explain in detail what you're saying! Good job!

Thank you! I could not figure out how to scale non-proportionally. I would not have known to use the Move tool.

I'm just trying to rotate my sphere 90degrees without it splitting in half is there a simple version of rotating an object in it's center axis like in 3d max? i'm starting to think i'm too retarted to use this software.

clicking on white circle aligns the camera instead of centering the transpose tool
