Having a key to your adult daughter’s house without her gifting it and stopping by when she pleases without letting her know is a serious breech of trust. It doesn’t matter if your love your kids, at some point you have to let them be adults. She’s really doing a disservice to her daughter when it comes to her feeling independent and having personal adult responsibilities.

The daughter is horrible too, bringing other people exposing them to all this abuse. You're an adult and you don't have to bring dates for approval, make boundaries with your mother first then bring whoever. No man deserves to be called names because of your sick mother. It's your job to protect your future family from abuse. Same if it was the man's mother abusing the daughter in law, it's the man's job to keep his mother in place. I'm irritated to watch the daughter so quiet and not taking serious actions about the name calling 😮
