This is just my opinion but from iems I've heard :
Audio Tia U12t > Campfire Andros = Spiral Ears SE5u > Sony ex1000 = Moondrop Blessing > DM6 = Sony XBA n3 > Sony MDR7550 > Isine 10 > Shure SE535 ...
Considering the other options are higher in price than the DM6, it really is the best bang for the buck I've listened to.

Not sure if anyone has pointed this out already, but I think the reason that some are mentioning elevated bass while others are hearing a more neutral profile is because depending on where you purchase them, the DM6s actually come with a cable that is randomly selected between two options: a 6N 8core Silver-plated cable, which is described as being “for vocals, ” and
a Copper & Silver-plated Mixed Braided cable, which is described as being “for bass.”

On Amazon:
“NOTE: The two kinds of cable will be sent randomly, either the white cable or the black silver cable, both are of high quality.”

Wish there was a cool way to try all these IEMs. Even though I already have an Andromeda and I consider that my endgame universal IEM, it's still interesting to try. I wouldn't want to purchase this but it would be cool to share your enthusiasm for the DM6!

But I'm happy I got myself out of my chi-fi mid-fi hell, it got to a point where I was just buying IEMs for the sake of having IEMs.

Mr. Bad Guy Good Audio, I'm gonna get a pair of these in roughly two weeks. I ordered a pair from a local seller here in the Philippines. About a month ago I bought the BGVP DMG, as you have recommended. You were precisely right. The BGVP DMG sounds really good. My only gripe is that the bass is a bit boomy. Not too much, but I wish it would be just a tad bit faster with the bass decay for the DMG. I am highly excited for my pair of DM6 to arrive. Again, I'd like to thank you for these reviews! Now that your measurement rig is up and running, I hope you can compare graphs of the DM6 with other IEMs. That would be really great. I am a big fan of your channel, and with these graphs integrated with the reviews, man, that will surely make things even more interesting.

Chris, I need your help in pairing these right when they arrive. I have been on the fence about getting the zishan DSD AK4497s after reading how the high output impedance(22 ohms) affects the sq(tonal alterations etc) on this dm6(20 ohms). The older Zishan AK4495seq has a 0.2 ohms output impedance but 470uF decoupling caps.

This will be my go-to IEM and the last thing I want is a DAP that is not a right match. I will take SQ over UI any day. I was considering the F.audio X-02 as an alternative but have no clue if that has a low enough output impedance to drive this 5-BA IEM they way it should be.

From what I have gathered after watching your videos, the ideal setup for me would be that nice rec'd cable + dm6 + a dap with solid components(within the price range of the above 2). Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Finally I received my sapphire blue dm6 today . I was waiting this iem for nearly 80 Days but it worth the wait. I drive it with my Hiby r6+ FiiO q5, It sounds very very nice and I fucking love it. Thank you BGGA for inform and review this dope .By the way after many failed and finally I was successfully updated my r6 to android 8.1 Oreo today. So today is very happy day for me .

Now that we're talking the same language, what are the best bass-focused reference IEMs? $no-object; under $200; under $100?

Ok guys...I have just received my set today and my god was a blown away from my seat. I never expected so much detail from a $199 IEM!! It puts my Westone UM30PRO to shame. I have already listened to a wide variety of music on my Shaling M3S and believe me I heard several instruments in the songs that I'd never heard before! I'm generally a downtempo, slow-jazz guy but I do have Aerosmith's/ Metallica's rock ballads, Symphony orchestras, Michael Jackson etc and these IEMs just excel in all genres! For the first time, I could really hear (not feel) the base in a snare drum! There's a very fine line between hearing and feeling the base vis-a-vis an IEM and with these, I could hear the base. That's a really tough challenge to achieve! The only qualm I have is foam tip that's included in the package..it's all but comfortable. I'm surely going to place an order for Symbio tips which I hope should improve my experience further! These IEMs are truly worth every cent I've paid!

We are all loyal to certain things and think the gear we fancy is somehow more special than ordinary for some reason. I like that you are honest about that. Thanks you for your reviews. I was drooling over the unboxing of these and the T88k. I think BAs are the way to go for accuracy, longevity (sorry), and eq tweaks when desired. So beautiful too (which is oddly a huge factor)!

Proud owner of the Sony MDR EX1000, no other earphones have ever come close to it. Can DM6 dethrone EX1000; my all time favourite IEM? I hope not!

Really would be interested to hear a comparison between ex1000 v dm6 but I won't be replacing my baby ex1000 EVER! :)
