Thanks for including the info comparing the stack height of the new shoe to that of the Hyperion Max v1. That is exactly one thing I've been wondering about. I love the Hyperion Max v1 and I'm wondering whether to buy another pair before they are gone or not. The thing I really dislike about the new Hyperion Max 2 is the significant increase in weight. However, the Hyperion 2 is even lighter than the Hyperion Max v1, it appears to have the same stack height as the Hyperion Max v1, and it has the improved foam. It's looking like the Hyperion 2 would be a good replacement for the Hyperion Max v1.

The Hyperion 2 IS the Hyperion Max just a tad softer maybe about 5-10%. It’s snappier too. It is the successor. I don’t know why they put a nylon plate on that Max 2 but I don’t think it needed a plate. I guess just to differentiate it. Brooks foams are quite firm. If it was PEBA blend then yes put a nylon plate. But it’s just nitrogen infused EVA. I’m going to wait for the Max 3.
