"Then the Quraysh summoned each other against the prophet's (SWS) companions who had embraced Islam with him, and every tribe attacked the Muslims among them torturing them and tempting them from their religion.
And Allah protected his messenger with the prophet's (sws) uncle Abu-Talib who, when had seen the Quraysh doing what they did to the Hashims, gathered the members of the house and agreed all to help the messenger of Allah (SWS) and protect him (SWS), except Abu-Lahab the enemy of Allah.
Then Abu-Talib stood and recited this poem to praise them for their stance and to encourage them: ..."
