I love the idea the GunEvo Units are SO non-canon that they can run simulations at human or mobile suit height, allowing them to shitpost big time and small time.

Well at least we got a drink out of it.

Seriously, there's a Gundam themed maid café that serves "Colony Drops".

I’m glad zeon named their greatest atrocity after god’s greatest atrocity, the British.

Fun fact:

Jan Rabson (the original Streamline dub voice of Tetsuo) also did random voices in Animaze's dub of the Gundam movie trilogy.

You know I always wondered, given how Cima reacted when she realized the truth of Operation British, how many of those also involved had similar reactions... and perhaps most frighteningly, whatever happened to them?

I allied with pre operation British zeon. And would absolutely shoot the prince and princess that betrayed the principality of zeon.

Zaku did a lot of things he's come to regret later in his production run.

Australia had it coming. The Federation had lived in fear of the Emus for far too long and Zeon was more then eager to solve the problem themselves.

To play devil's advocate, Zeon ain't the only faction responsible for heinous space age war crimes with a rep in Gundam Evo.
I mean just look at:
The Federation (Gassing colonies, preforming inhuman experimentation on children, attempting their own colony drop, operating a massive colony laser, and general rights violations)
The Earth Alliance (Nuking space colonies, performing inhuman experimentation on children and being subserviant to the military industrial complex)
Lacus Clyne's dumbshit faction (Stealing top secret military technology for personal gain to effectively place your leader at the top of the entire earth sphere with no competition)
The Ghingnham Fleet (Attempting to start a war and end civilization again)
and Tekkadan (Killing child slaves for no reason and doing various mafia things)

And that ain't even covering the shit that factions not repped in Evo did.

Zeon did earth a favor by wiping out the Emus. Those dastardly giant chickens were plotting to destroy both earth and the space colonies.

I mean, Sydney wasn't so much Zeons fault as proof that even god is terrified of Australians.
You know what? I don't care this is a 4 month old video, Let's do this:

So they were aiming for Jaburo in Brazil. BRAZIL. Plan was simple: Take a colony, shove a load of nuclear pulse rockets onto it, and have them charge, from the Moon (this is why the Dublin and Kansas drops barely did anything by comparison in ZZ, no run-up.) towards earth and then slam the entire thing into Jaburo. If it works, no month long, costly sieges attempting to find a constantly moving underground base hiding under dense jungle and swamp terrain. (Which in the original Gundam Encyclopedia, they apparently tried at least twice before Char gave it a go with the MSM funnies.) Except, turns out getting shot at by a Federation Fleet after being accellerated for a few days with more thrust than you were ever meant to take is a bad idea, and the thing breaks up in high orbit somewhere over the Arabian penninsula (ish) and fragments of the colony shotgun... basically everywhere. But the big heavy part of the O-Neil Cylinder: The Dock, keeps on trucking, except because it's lost thrust now it doesn't have enough to reach South America, and unluckily lands on Australia. The odds of that thing even hitting land were fairly against considering where it went down, but no, it hit's Australia. In fact it doesn't just hit Australia, it hit's Sydney. Directly. Like the odds of that happening are so bafflingly against that it's basically proof that god exists right up there with the Babel Fish and that furthermore, he hates Australians.
It hits Sydney so hard it ceases to exist, the earth is plunged into a mini-ice age, it creates a lake you can see from THE MOON. Windows are reported to have shattered as far as Brisbane from the impact and several mountains and hills in the region go volcanic as the force of the impact damages the tectonic plate underneath. It is, by far, the most damaging colony drop in the franchise history.
