i cannot stress this enough: DO NOT buy anything that sticks to your wall with tape for your bathroom. even that super strong transparent double-sided tape will come off when the bathroom gets steamy and the wall tiles get wet. and then the whole thing will fall. it can be relatively harmless (like a toothbrush holder i had) or it can break one of your toes (if it's a huge bottle full of shampoo at a decent height)

edit: i feel like i should add that this only applies to bathrooms and other places that get steamy. in my experience, depending on the material, tape can hold quite heavy things for a long time as long as it doesn't get wet or tugged on frequently (i had a 1 meter tall glass mirror taped to the inside of my wardrobe door, which was wood, for several years before it came off)
