In the manga the dialogue Kaneki had in this scene was heart breaking. It really felt like he obtained severe brain damage and couldn’t think straight and only focused on the pain. It was so painful. It’s nice to have an animation that could partially convey that

For all you Anime only's or those behind on the manga, let me explain some stuff.
One. Kaneki doesn't die, he becomes Haise sasaki [Bless Sasaki]
Two. Kaneki had no chance of beating Arima, Arima fought off Eto and was putting up a very good fight.
three.This is a "Fan Animation", based on a real scene in the Manga, so it is not fake.
four. For those who say "Kaneki can't die" He can die and knowing this is not shonen, he might die like a 40% chance, maybe 50% if we are lucky.

Also, stop hating on the creator's work, this took a long time to make, back in December of bloody 2015. this post maybe really late, but still, this took a whole 4 months of work to be made. not as much as a manga, anime or game but still a long time. So show the creator some love.

It's all the more tragic because Kaneki didn't lose his memory here. He lost it when he was imprisoned in Cochlea and Arima just straight up tells him all his friends are dead. It was too much for Kaneki to handle that he mentally breaks down and ends up forgetting everything.
