I love Shmit. He made out to be the typical lady's man, playboy type guy in a sitcom like Barney or Joey. Those shows didn't just not call them out for some of their creepy behaviour to bed women but endorsed it. Not only do they call out Shmits douchebag behaviour with the jar, the show wants us to laugh at him for it. Other than that, Shmit is a genuinely lovable character who doesn't want to be a douche and we respect him for that.
