Do you think this trend will continue and ecommerce will get even bigger?

The problem with online only is shipping charges keep going up

I work in the civil design field, and half of all our new construction projects are warehouses. Warehouses are the future. We need storage so everyone can get their orders faster.

One of the first rules you learn in business school is that brick and mortar doesn’t make money and rent payments buy time on a 24/7/365 basis.
That’s why gas stations never close and you can’t walk in them.
That’s why you can’t fit two buggy’s between the isles at Walmart.

So we should all have stock in Amazon, UPS, Fed Ex, DHL, etc??

It’s easier to walk into a Walmart and shop for 20 separate types of items than it is to navigate eBay or Amazon for 20 separate types, that’s why Walmart is thriving 🤷‍♂️

Good info, as always! As far as needing a cookie jar, of course not. Especially when you can't even afford cookies! Praying for our country. Thanks Casey 😊

Personally, ever since COVID, I realized I don’t enjoy going into a store like I used to. At 60 I basically have everything I need and I get toiletries and misc. things from Amazon. Most of my clothes I buy from Poshmark.

It seems that some Walmarts have lots of theft too so maybe closing those bad locations but opening up in better areas

A BIG factor is that stores can't find people to WORK. And once they do find them, they have to HOPE they actually show up. Used to be 20% of the people do 80% of the work ....now it is 5% ends up doing 95% of the work.

There is still nothing like brick and mortar. People naturally need to connect with people and have their 5 senses stimulated to be more enticed to buy things.

Lack of money yes. Theft is the big one. The cost is beyond the price of the product. It is also a loss of sales. When a customer wants to purchase and you are out, they go somewhere else.

My local Walmarts are not stocking a fast selling shipping item since their Christmas reset.
I turned to the Walmart website. The item is there, but no shipping or instore purchase was available.
Delivery was an option.
We order the items at 11am, and they were dropped at my front door at 3pm.
4 hours?
The item must be in the store backroom.
A tip was involved at time of purchase.

I laughed at the elephant vase stuff, I call items like that Old Lady Clutter!

The value at Denny's has disappeared. We were surprised how little we got for our money during our last visit. As for Walgreens, I would be interested to know how many of them are in states where police aren't prosecuting shoplifting or robberies. In parts of California, I had heard this was a real problem.

I live in Reno, NV.
I'm shocked when people online talk about things being slow.
Our stores and restaurants are packed.
I haven't seen anything close around me besides the sherman Williams.
Even the thrifts are full.
I guess it's just not really affecting people here.

Funny thing is I see many YouTubers starting out online then opening their stores and I'm wondering what they're doing. Later, poof their stores close up

First off love your videos! I sell on eBay and Poshmark and my concern is our shipping infrastructure a.k.a. the damn post office and how it seems to be falling apart lol or is it just me?

Everything cannot go online only. Pharmacies have to have some sort of brick and mortar.
