Hello, I was looking at your youtube posts on the CS6000i machine because I am having issues with mine. It started just bunching up and knotting up the back thread, constantly jamming up my machine, I get it all cleaned up, and running smoothly again but now my issue is that even though I am just trying to sew a normal straight stitch, on either 0 or 1, the top line is perfect, but the back has this stupid weird design and I do not see any way to get that back to normal or have any idea why it is doing that. I don't see a way to just reset the machine, so I am hoping you may have some insight for me, I wanted to attach pictures of the back stitching, but I don't see a way to do that but it almost looks like an 56 or 51 stitch. Again, this is while the machine is on 0 or 1 for just a normal straight stitch. Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated, I'm trying to help my daughter make a bean bag chair for my grandsons birthday, which isn't going to be done in time, but I'm still hoping to salvage our project

By the way, I LOVE the machine! I didn't have enough room in my last post to say so. Funny little thing...I got so used to using my left hand to release the pressure foot that I'm still in the habit...this one in under the arm on the right...kinda like learning how to drive on the left side of the road and changing gears with my left hand! Oh well, I still LOVE the machine! I think it's smarter than I am!

Oh...what's this nonsense about NOT using an extension cord? Am I missing something?

You can get a stand alone thread stand, they cost $6 to $10 bucks. They hold one two or more spools. only need the 1-3 spool holder stand.

my brand new, never-used 6000i machine got damaged (i dropped it and broke off the bobbin winder) and I took it to the local authorized Brother service center.  They told me to throw it away, because service and repair (of a machine that worked fine except for the bobbin winder!)  would far exceed the value of the machine. They told me this machine is ""disposable".  So keep that in mind before buying one--it's great until it needs work, then its no good at all.

Can this sew a dog collar? I’ll be using 1” wide webbing…
Is it powerful enough?
TIA

When I switched on the machine, it worked, light came on, the needle moved, and as I tryed a few settings I didn't see any problems. After a few minutes, I heard a pop in the machine and fumes came out from it with a smell of burning plastic.

Now I don't know what happened, I don't have the courage to use it. Any advice what I should do with it? What has happened?

Thank you,

Bought this and honestly, it sucks so bad. The needles keep breaking and poking everywhere BUT where it’s supposed to. Plus, the foot presses down onto the fabric so hard I have to manually tug it in order for the thread not to ball up.

I hate playing the "re-thread" game if I don't have to. I've always been able to put a machine "away" so-to-speak w/o removing the spool. Not so with this machine, so I just place it near the pressure foot. I'd love it if there was some way of "storing" the spool inside. I'm even thinking of drilling a small hole somewhere and inserting the extra plastic spool holder when I need to, to solve my stupid little dilemma...anybody got any ideas? Am I the only one with this stupid habit? Thx!

I hoped for more information here rather than a commercial.
