Sitting and watching the evolution of technology from ideas to the real world is no doubt awesome and all ... but take my situation ... I am sitting here in a small town called Mangaluru in India and have this insane opportunity to be a pat of it ...albiet just as a simple viewer on YT.... but WOW ...what a privilege. I feel so ... well no words.

Don’t forget the monitoring systems for each phase of the engine

What type of winding down you use in generator?

With everything on the HX50 being digital & relying heavily on electronics...will there be at least some basic robust EMI shielding incorporated? Hardware? Wiring harnesses? etc...

It's very cool to build new engines and upset existing culprits like P&W. Rather than the long transmission path, could it be a single stage gearing directly to the rotor? the 45 degree bevel gear has fairly small contact surface, could it all be done in a single largish diameter gear? less wear, loss, weight. If beneficial for gear design maybe stand the engine on end and drive shaft on the generator side and if the length is needed a pancake generator. The 50k rpm is ideal for electrical generators as speed and power density are proportional to voltage. With modern electronics all the avionics could run on as little as 20watt but even at 200watt there is a lot of room for aircon if the design power was 26kW? I imagine that 10kW would be plenty aircon. I assume you are not driving the tail rotor electrically (although might be interesting). And heating should be plentiful from the thermal engine.
