Are there any Star Trek mistakes that absolutely bug you every time you see them?

In "The Offspring", Data says about his daughter, Lal, "She can use contractions, I cannot". His very next line is "I've maintained records on positronic matrix activity..."

On the point of Voyager not having an astronetrics lab.. It's clear from early on that Voyager has a stellar cartography area, like other ships. I think that that is the area that was being upgraded my Harry and Seven. When the lab is introduced, they also say that astrometic sensors are a new technology that hybridized Borg and Starfleet tech. Prior to their work, they wouldn't have used the word "astrometrics" on board the ship.

The “cloaking device” from the Pegasus was a phasing cloaking device and functioned differently than the standard Klingon and romulan devices.

Regarding "Yesterday's Enterprise", and Geordi's uniform at the end, I always took that to mean the timeline had been restored, but not fully - meaning the original timeline before the arrival of the Enterprise-C had been lost forever.

It's an idea that was sort of confirmed later on, when Tasha Yar was discovered to have survived the battle, and had had a daughter with her Romulan captor. Since Tasha Yar was not on the Enterprise-C in the "Prime" timeline, that must mean the "Prime" timeline no longer exists.

Missed opportunity when discussing the change in how the Trill looked/acted in TNG vs DS9 to use the clip of Worf from Tribles and Tribleations where he says "we do not discuss it with outsiders"

That was the magic of Star Trek. Spotting the screwups.

Dude HOW could you miss Spot being a male cat in the beginning only to give birth in the end? That's like the biggest continuity screw up I've ever seen in ANY show.

I wouldn't exactly call the Trill thing a "mistake." More of a retcon instead. However, when the character of Jadzia Dax was being developed for DS9 the writers could have given her species a different name, and made some reference that, unlike the Trills (from TNG), her species lived a symbiotic existence openly.

The cloak on the Pegasus was a Starfleet design, not Romulan.

Not a continuity error, but in The City on the Edge of Tomorrow, Kirk and Edith Keeler are shown walking past Floyd’s Barber Shop, clearly recognizable to any fans of The Andy Griffith Show.

It may have been mentioned already but another mistake caught on screen in The City on the Edge of Forever was when Kirk and Edith are walking down the sidewalk, they past a store front that has "Floyd's Barber Shop" on the window. This is when the same set of the Andy Griffith Show is shared with Star Trek. If fact, Kirk and crew visit Mayberry, North Caroline at least 3 times during its run. Even the Matberry courthouse is seen in several shots. To bad Andy and Barney were never beamed to the Enterprise bridge.

The cloaking device was classified and the crew was ordered to not speak of it. Plus remember the Pegasus decloaked inside of a solid rock matter, resulting in nearly all crew lost. So Worf would be nervous about being on a Federation ship engaging a cloaking device. Since some believed the Pegasus cloak failed due to system incompatibilities or malfunctions.

Instead of the minor contraction thing, you should have mentioned how in Nemesis, everyone seems to have forgotten Lore exists

Any and all scenes with Seven are perfect and without flaws. Fight me… 😂

The Trill redesign was not really a mistake, it was a deliberate choice. The forehead ridge mask was just too impractical and uncomfortable for Terry Farrell to wear for prolonged periods of time (also apparently it really didn't look good on her), so an easier makup was chosen.
There are novels trying to explain the difference between TNG and DS9 Trills. The ridged Trill are a sub-group of Trill and are the only ones that can't be transported while the spotted Trill can. Another states that the ridged Trill are actually the result of a strain of the augment virus. Transporters don't harm them but they would reveal the presence of the symbionts.

I'm afraid that you may have missed a very important point with regards to worth saying that he had never been on a Starfleet starship with a cloaking device. That project was highly classified and even though the audience knows it and work may know it he would also know that it has not been released to be public knowledge and therefore hesitation that he had maybe indicative that he was trying to come up with an excuse. He could be thinking about that event but not be able to tell the captain.

Just because VELCRO was "Created" in the 1950's does not mean it is not reengineered Alien Technology found in the Roswell crash. I for one liked that "possibility" in that T'Pol Enterprise episode

Just because of the "Shut up, Wesley", you earned my like 😉

Also, when Guinan says "something changed", you can clearly see a female member of the crew in the background wearing a uniform WITHOUT the dark cuffs. I guess that compensates for Geordi's at the end of the episode.

You shouldn't try to take your brother's place or Wesley will make up lies about you.

That is hilarious!
