If your running Windows 11 on unsupported hardware, you've probably noticed that you cant update to 22H2. In this video I'm going to show you how to upgrade without loosing your data. Its really easy.

I followed your instructions for this 22H2 update a few days ago and it works perfect with no loss of any files, I did do a system image back up just before the update just in case anything went wrong. thanks for this and your other very helpful videos

I strive to do such on my channel and support others that do the same. Your video is incredibly easy to follow and, at the time I'm typing this comment, prepping to install Win 11 22H2 on my One-Netbook One Mix 4. One Netbook no longer supports this particular laptop and in 2021 they mentioned they'd put a BIOS upgrade download on their website to enable TPM on the One Mix 4 to install Windows 11. Sadly, it was never done. With your method, I am now going to have Win 11 on my One Mix 4! I immensely thank you for your knowledge and video guide to make this happen.

Awesome! I just did a clean install of Windows 11 22H2 on a 15 year old, Dell Vostro 1700 and it runs fairly decent on it with a SSD and 4GB of RAM. Taking it's updates ok... so far.

Well I built a very robust Win11 i7-7700 system only to find that I can't upgrade because I am just outside the compatibility window. Well, I just watched this video and did what you said and bingo. All updated to 22H2. Can't express how happy I am that I can run this system for a good bit longer. I generally am one generation behind so I can buy the top of the line last gen and run it till the wheels fall off. Thank you so much for the great video!!!😃😃

Thank you so much for this. I installed win 11 on my 6 year old unsupported pc with the old method when it came out, the whole swapping ios files thing, and it has been working smooth as butter since. Updating to the new build, I was not sure if I could, but thanks to you, it's easy :D

@CyberCPU Awesome video and I think your one of the BEST Windows 11 content creators out on YouTube, but there is two things that I need to comment about: 1) People need to run Windows Update after the 22H2 install when they get back into the operating system. I just did this with a new .ISO file and there was 4 updates pending (two for MS antivirus and 2023-04 and 2023-05 updates). The other thing is, many people forget, but M$ told the masses that "Windows 10" would have free updates for life, and that was going to be "their last operating system". This whole thing with saying "better security" so a TPM is needed, was just a cleaver ploy to try and sell more of their hardware partners computers with Windows 11 installed as they get a "cut" of those sales. I'm old, and I've install every single version of Windows as far back as Windows 2.1 and MS-Dos, not to mention Linux first distros and others. End game, I think you are right in regards to Microsoft allowing this sort of install as I truly believe they understand that they overstepped a bit in excluding their loyal customers and older hardware that again works "just fine" with lower cpu requirements and no TPM.

thanx for the video, did install 22H2 few minutes ago, also am giving Ubuntu a shot on a Intel NUC Core i3 7th generation CPU, am impressed with the result, everything seem to work, installed LTS 18.04 and got a upgrade to LTS 20.04, works fine.

I had to do a clean install and the server installer was a version of the Windows 11 Pro build that disregarded the checks and that made installation possible on my partially supported Surface Pro. Stable so far and the best features are the improved taskbar with drag and drop support and finally - a tabbed file browser! 22h2 for that alone is worth the feature upgrade over the previous build.

Thanks for an amazing tutorial. I had to try twice, as I run it from the ISO and mounting the image; not the pen drive, which worked.
