Underappreciated detail: the way the camera shakes every time Doomguy clenches his fist or cracks his knuckles. In-universe, it could be written off as the elevator shaking from a distant explosion elsewhere in the facility, but in combination with his gestures it feels like Doomguy's barely-suppressed rage is of such godlike potency that it's actually causing the entire planet beneath him to tremble.

those 10 seconds from 0:18 to 0:28 was pretty much the ONLY time the doomslayer gave hayden a chance to explain himself in the whole game lol

The best part of this intro is the cocking of the shotgun at the end. Even though it is a simple action, the way it shifts the players attention from the intro to the initial "It's time to go kill everything" send chills down the spine.
