I have a question, why do we still have to define box-sizing: border-box explicitly in every single project? I think it should be the browser default behaviour or default box-sizing value since it solves the very basic problems (actual width & height of the element), so we don't have to explicitly define it like when we are using CSS framework.

I think it's just one of those dumb naming things that got passed down the generations. Why not just name the three things 1st Padding, 2nd Padding, 3rd Padding, or something to that effect? I think most people just tripped up by the names, not necessarily the mechanics itself.
