Melissa wonderful energy and enthusiasm as you unpacked Proverbs 13 for us. This Proverb, for me, explains the value of Integrity and that we are called not to leave an inheritance of wealth but a legacy that includes more - A Way of Life. “The righteous has enough to satisfy his appetite, But the stomach of the wicked is in need.” Proverbs 13:25

Dude Melissa that was awesome! I sincerely enjoy hearing all you guys teach. I was not surprised for 1 second that you sang & even danced for us (and I loved it). Your teaching was so good. You asked us alot of tough questions that really have me thinking. Thank you so much!

Melissa: I loved your enthusiasm and energy, and commend you on a fine job in guiding this lesson. Of particular interest was your discussion on discipline. I think that in this day and age there is a tendency for us to avoid disciplining our children for fear of being judged. Your childhood example of how the stairs or the bathroom toilet served as tools used by your parents was an example for all of us to not fear discipline and the power it has to teach and mold us into well adjusted citizens of the world. Thank you and keep up the good work. Loving this journey.

14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, proverbs 13:14 I love meditating on this verse and getting a mental picture of what this could look like

I find Solomon's story interesting he could have asked God for riches and stuff but he asked God for wisdom and we see that because he did that God added all the other stuff to him reminds me of what Jesus said in Luke 12:25-34 25And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? 26If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? 27Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? 29And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. 31But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you.32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33Sell that ye have, and give alms; provide yourselves bags which wax not old, a treasure in the heavens that faileth not, where no thief approacheth, neither moth corrupteth. 34For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
