When Bernie plays, the table tennis stays more beautiful!

Bernie here took too long to really observe and find the weaknesses in Sun's game. Sun seemed to be really everywhere and had a superior technique in almost all the situations - well played!

Bernie needs to be a bit more prepared and analytical in the way she plays - she often tried to plow her way through with relentless smashes, feeling speed is her only chance. Playing for a bit more sophisticated points would serve her right, more setups, more chops, playing around a bit with the opponent, finding the openings, etc. - that's what she lacked this time.

She seemed to find this kinf of playstyle once: at 14:39 she managed that beatiful flick, which was a smart move, not a fast one. Too little too late though - this was exactly one rally in which she managed to surprise her opponent. More of this, and she can be a serious contender on the top! Go Bernie!

Bernadette cannot win every game but she knows to learn a lesson and become stronger. Sun is a tough nut to crack, good.

I like to see Szocs play against the Asians, because she has no reason to squeak all the time

Bernie's ability, even losing 3-0, to make things tricky for players going against her has really been on display this event. It's made me a fan of hers. Go Bernie.
