This sounds so joyful, vivid and sad. The whole game sounds joyful, vivid and sad. Transistor feels like one of those animation movies after watching of which you feel a lump in your throat and begin missing its characters... such undescribable emotions, like you fell in love...

UPLOADING THE WHOLE SOUNDTRACK ON YOUTUBE?!?!?! Supergiant Games, do you know how much I love you guys? Though I rarely ever buy video games and I have to admit, I have pirated some, I would never do that with Transistor, nor it's soundtrack. You guys are just too creative and too perfect human beings.

Quick bit of credit for blue (i think its the given name of sword guy character), enjoyed listening to his narration throughout the story, great voice actor in driving the story who really should not be overlooked.

I woke up today with this song in my head. Did not play transistor for over a year, and the last time i played it before that was at least 3 years before that. This is just one of those games/soundtracks which stick with you comes up in random times.

Thank you Supergiant for making such an amazing experience.

Spoilers for the game:

So "We All Become" is Red's hit song and is considered subversive in the virtual city of Cloudbank. It is what draws the eyes of the change-seeking Camerata to her talent. The song begins with Red addressing Cloudbank "when you speak, I hear silence." Cloudbank is supposed to be a city formed by the aggregate whims of the talented minds that create it. It's supposed to be a utopia of thought, but with the consensus comes a bland sameness. Because the world is created basically by vote, there is actually very little in the way of the happy accidents and bold individuality that happens in a real city. The Camerata recognizes this, as does Red. When the people of Cloudbank speak their city into existence. Red just hears...silence. Consensus is boring to her. Every one of her songs in a defiance to Cloudbank.

So Red declares it may be time to "go to the country". We know this represents death, but because Cloudbank is a digital world, it most likely isn't TRUE death, but leaving the consensus of Cloudbank to exist as a free intelligence in a much less curated digital landscape. This landscape is represented by the empty field of wheat and it could be seen as freedom, but also it could be seen as a world without true form. Red hints that she would prefer this lonely individualism to the boring "one-ness" of Cloudbank's consensus.

The next two versus describe her entry into Cloudbank and how it is seen as a very prestigious thing (you tell yourself that you're lucky), but it also can be seen as a retreat of sorts, probably from problems in a non-virtual "real" world. She sees this as a defeat or resignation (lying down never struck me as something fun). They give her a shot to put her meat body under (stabbing pain for the feeling) and now her life as a human in the real world is ostensibly over. Her struggles have been escaped from, run from (now your wound's never healing). The rest of the song is Red pleading with Cloudbank to leave this fake world. It's almost frantic as if you can see the uniformity of the consensus strangling her.

Red ends up losing her voice in the attack, but ironically she gains the power to change things (someone "without a voice" is seen in the real world as powerless in politics, etc, but in a world where consensus is an oppressive thing, losing your voice forces you to take action and make change. At one terminal Red gets to change the weather as she chooses and the Transistor remarks: "That wasn't a vote...it was a choice."

When you speak I hear silence
Every word a defiance
I can hear, oh I can hear

Think I'll go where it suits me
Moving out to the Country
With everyone, oh everyone
Before we all become one

You tell yourself that you're lucky
But lying down never struck me
As something fun, oh any fun

Stabbing pain for the feeling
Now your wound's never healing
Til' you're numb, oh it's begun
Before we all become one, oh

Oh we all, we all become one
Oh we all, we all become one
Oh we all, we all become one
Oh we all, we all become one

Stop grieving, start leaving
Before we all become one...
Run!
Oh, we all, we all become...

I don't think people understand how amazing this game is. The soundtrack, gameplay, story everything is perfect. This team is outstanding and they need more of the limelight.

This is what all game companies should do, release their music to the public.
