ICAF (Integrated Compressed Air Foam) Deluge System activated by Protectowire linear heat detection cable.
The system water supply is from a water tower boosted by an electric fire pump. The air supply is provided by high-pressure air cylinders. The foam concentrate is stored in a stainless steel pressure vessel and is pressurized with compressed air upon system actuation.
Compressed air foam is generated by the combination of compressed air, water and foam concentrate in the right proportions, to create a foam solution similar to shaving cream. CAF is distributed over the hazard through open type nozzles specifically designed to be used with the FireFlex ICAF system.
