How to Update ARK-4 CFW!

This tutorial covers how to upgrade ARK-4 CFW already installed on a PSP or PS Vita to the latest version of ARK-4! Although this is quick and easy, this does require you to have an already modified PSP running ARK-4 CFW or a PS Vita with ARK-4 installed. Once ARK-4 has been installed, any new updates to the CFW itself can be applied using the steps in this guide.

ARK4 has a built in updater in the far left menu at the top, right? Does that not function yet?

When I messed around with PSPs in the mid-late 2000s, the cfw firmwares were M33. Do they still work? The latest one around then was 5.00.

I updated my PSP a long time ago and it's saying it's at 6.39 ME-2 and it has a 6.39 VSH menu when I hit select. I remember reprogramming my battery into a Pandora battery and I don't think it'll boot up without it.

Do I have to un-Pandora/unmod my PSP before modding it with ARK4?

EDIT for those curious, i drew a blank on the fsct that you can manually update cpl flashed psps without issue to CFWs lol
Can you update from 0.9 (6.61 base with the og PRO eCPL flasher) directly to the newest ARK firmware?
Havent updated since lol (psp-1000 v1 board if anyone is curious)
