How to Do the 'Thriller' Dance, Pt. 1 | MJ Dancing

All right, what's going on, you guys? So, we're about to do 'Thriller,' which is the title of the greatest selling album of all time. I know most of you that are watching this video, this may be the main one that you want to do. So, we're going to tune it in, we're going to learn together. We're going to rock together.

He says, "This is Thriller," you're going to go, "Thriller" and a three and four. You're going to go, right, left, look, look. "Cause this is," one, two. One, two, and a three and a four, five. We're going to go, five, six, seven and eight. One and a two, hold, three, and four. And five, six, seven, look, look.

Let's go back. So, you have five, six, seven, "cause this is Thriller," and a three, and a four, shrug, six, seven, and a eight. One and two, hold, three and a four and a five, six, strike. And eight.

Moving on. This part is the easiest part. "Cause this is Thriller," and a three and four. So, you go, shake, shake, shake, shake. Arms are going to switch, pelvis is going to switch. Step, step, step out, in.

Now, Michael does a turn. The zombies go on the floor. You can choose to do both if you want. You can do a spin move, one, or you can do two spins. Whatever you're feeling. The zombies are going to go, one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight. You have one whole count of eight to come up as a zombie or you have two or three counts to do a spin. So, whatever you're feeling. That is your first four counts of the main chorus.

Let us go back to the top and put all of that together. You're going to go five, six, seven, eight. A one, two, and a three and a four. Shrug. Six, seven and a eight. One and two, hold, three and a four. And a five, hold, six. Seven and eight. One, two, shake, shake, shake, shake. Step, step, step out, in. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.

OK maybe thriller is hard for some people but I actually learned thriller just by looking at the video and recording my self to see if I make any mistake

You are adorable. Great lessons. Very professional. I'm a dancer so I know. I decided I wanted to learn the 'Thriller' dance after seeing the movie '13 Going on 30' (Hulu) starring Jennifer Gardner. There's a scene where Jennifer tries to liven up a disco party by doing 'Thriller' and by the end everyone has joined in. As if everyone in their 30's happens to know the 'Thriller' choreography! It's a cute movie...almost as cute as u!
