Missed oportunity with radios, me thinks. Could've played an "Oh, crap! One of them is not an emotionless drone, but a sadistic, murderous psychopath and he's on a mission to kill us all!" angle

You can also get some special dialogue after you defeat the Advisor. During the boss fight the Xen Grenades will exclusively spawn Vorts who will actually fight with you (in fact the advisor will hard focus on them so they can be used as a distraction). And if any survive after the fight you can talk to them.

I got the radio dialogs in my playthrough! This game was incredible it got me playing Half Life again.
