You are that person that is in the magazines that I would look at and think oh my gosh she styled and layered blouses and jackets And mixed and matched jewelry and it looks absolutely phenomenal. You are a real person executing these looks on point! I’ve been meaning to tell you this. I love accessories hats, sunglasses jewelry belts and I think Many people under estimate the value Great accessories bring to an outfit!! Thank you for showing all of us how the every day fashionista can bring haute couture to brunch! I once saw Lucille Ball wear a beautiful sheer mesh Christian Dior skirt over loose trousers I was thinking of doing the black on black option like you suggested!

Beth, I’ve been wearing dresses/skirts over pants for as long as I can remember, it’s my signature look, and even more lately.There are so many reasons to try: maybe you don’t want to show your legs for whatever reason, maybe you feel cold, or prefer a more modest look? don’t throw away all those dresses/skirts, just find a new way of wearing them!

I have already got a jumpstart on the skirts layered over dress, pants or skirts. I have been picking up the mini skirts late last year and during the spring/summer month found some good wool and tweed versions. I am 60 and I doubt during the Fall/Winter months I will be showing any upper thigh, because it get too darn cold here (we already start the day in the 30 and next week it in the 20s). I am so hard trying not to turn on the heater. Now you mention over blazers and that really could be an interesting look, it would almost be like having one of those wide belts that become so popular. I do have some button/snap/2 way zip front or side midi length skirts that I will be trying this with also. This will be stylish but also a good layering option to keep warm. I get the Vogue style email also but don't really pay it much attention but will definitly start giving that email a closer look. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come.

i love your energy and style. had to write cause its freaky weird what you showcase. i used to wear skirts over trousers (but longer skirts, so i particularily liked the last outfit) plus dresses (though my mum didnt like this look). i have worn waistcoats and shirts (mens) since i can remember and still do. thanks to you i am starting to buy waistcoats again. great for an extra layer and if too big can be worn over a jumper. today i have bought 2 mens blazers/jackets. one single breasted (it doesnt do up, but looks nice on) and one double breasted with gold buttons - it says it is dior but not convinced! all my stuff i get from charity shops.
