Thanks so much for the info. As a Surface Book owner, just a heads up for your future videos, I'm currently having a major issue with the battery expanding due to overheating which has caused the screen to start lifting off the left side. This is why I stumbled upon your video because I'm shopping around, but thanks to your video, I'm still going to go with the replacement option that MS is offering for $600. When I initially bought it back in 2016, the first generation, it was amazing, and apparently is still one of the only laptop/tablet computers with touch screen that allows me to work with Adobe's software. As an illustrator, I have yet to find anything comparable by Mac, unless you know of something. The last thing I want to mention to you or anyone reading this, is that the MS Surface has a very strange quirk that sometimes it will just start typing in ALL CAPS, and when it does, you can't even use keyboard shortcuts. The workaround is to save whatever you have using the mouse or pen since the Ctrl+S won't work, then shut it down, and restart. Yet, that's why I had to replace it the first time around after about a year of use, and MS replaced it with a refurbished one with the warranty which came in handy, which is the one I'm using now. Heads up, they don't replace with brand new computers even with a fully purchased warranty. Yet even the refurbished one proved to have that same ALL CAPS problem eventually. However, the touch screen and surface pen for illustrating with Photoshop is invaluable to me, which is why I'd rather take my chances on another Surface Book despite preferring Mac actually, but that's just me and my needs. Wish audio quality demo was longer. But great video. Please do more comparison of audio with surface book 3 and different products if possible. I personally like my surface pro speakers given its capacity. So now I am undecided between book 3 vs pro.

Really bad comparison of model choices. You chose a higher configured Mac base model (16gb ram) and the lowest model of the SB3 which nobody in their right mind would purchase when the $1999 USA version gets you i7 10th gen, 16gb ram, and a dedicated Geforce graphics card. The new 13 Macbook's have no touch screen or dedicated graphics card options and does not have a detachable tablet screen. The devices are really not comparable.

In my opinion, I don't believe that this is a fair comparison. Both these products aim at different types of users. If your getting a surface book and do not plan to use the touch, pen and tablet mode extensively, then the Surface laptop is what you should be getting. The surface laptop comes in a configuration that compete directly with the MacBook Pro. I would love to see a comparison between the Surface laptop and MacBook Pro.

I bought a surface book 2 for my wife the same time I bought a macbook pro 15" for myself. I wanted to directly compare the longevity. 2.5 years later, the surface book 2 is no longer usable - the screen keeps saying "detached", and the keyboard is glitchy and freezes. My macbook works like new. The detachable touch-screen is a gimmick that we never used, and just over 2 years of use is not good enough. Who the hell can afford to buy a new 2k$ laptop every two years? Also microsoft won't fix it, the only option is replacing it. Fuck that. I will never buy another PC again.

i have both and I have both because MAC OS cannot complete as many task as Windows. Most if not all of the comparisons I watch compare video editing and such. For the most part they are not true comparisons. How does Office 365 run on MAC OS compared to windows? The complaints are mostly subjective. I hate fanboy comparisons but way too often the shoe fits. If I have to carry a laptop to troubleshoot a network, the Macbook stays at home.
