I just received my set of Vallejo Xpress Color Paints and I wanted to share with you guys my first impressions. I don't go into a full tutorial and I don't cover all colors. There are better videos out there for that. However I actually start painting what would be my Lizardmen Blood Bowl team and see what results I can achieve with them.

I finally got mine delivered after a long wait, not tried them all yet but I am liking what I have tried. My first go with contrast/speed/.express paints. I have found they dry and thicken rather quickly on a pallet, and a wet pallet is a must if you are painting more than a single mini.

Informative video. I've seen others where Xpress tends to create a flat shade and runs into crevices to 'blackline' them, rather than create a gradient across the surface. I like the results you git here, but after hearing your opinion of a couple of Xpress colours skimping on the contrast, do you think the viscosity has something to do with all that? Is Xpress just a little too thin?
