The seatbelt holder is for the passenger seat belt, not really for the driver's. It's to stop the passenger belt from whipping around in the wind when the top is down, making noise and being a distraction

For anyone who gets the side markers, you do not have to go through the wheel well. The marker light can be moved towards the rear of the car and pulled out from the front-end closets to the front of the car. Makes easy install even easier.

As someone considering getting an MX-5, knowing that this channel exists makes me just that much more inclined to do so.

Have a 2017 ND and bought a backup camera. I had a garage install it because it was complex and paid them $300 for the purchase and installation. When you put the car in reverse, the camera displays the backup image on the HUD just like Mazda did it! Best $300 I've spent on the MX-5!

Great review! I have all of the items reviewed. Your scores were spot-on. FYI - Other inexpensive must haves for me is the brake light flasher, footwell light, and DRL harness. MX5things is great! Thanks for taking the time and putting this review together. Keep em coming.

I thought the buckle holster was actually quite useful. I installed it on the passenger side, and stuck the buckle in the holster so that when i'm driving (aka having fun in the corners) the belt buckle doesn't flop around and make noise by hitting the door panel.

I installed the trunk poppers after the first week of owning. Definitely a huge convenience feature that Mazda should have put on there. Most Miata owners are over 50 and that trunk release button is kind of awkward and down low for those geriatric backs 😆

Trunk popper is a win! It reminded me of is a "Jack-in-a-Box" toy like I had when I was kid.

The seat belt holster is supposed to be used on the PASSENGER side, not the driver. Also it is to hold the seat belt still, not the buckle! The reason you don't like it is your misunderstanding on how the item is supposed to work. JS

This video is superb. I picked up my first ever MX5 2 days ago and, as you already know, it's an amazing little car. The trunk-popper is a must, thankyou for showing it. Weirdly, the thing I like the least in my car is the airbag warning panel, what the hell were Mazda thinking? As an electronic engineer, I might make a small G-force display to go into this place, something simple that I just see out of the corner of my eye. Big thumbs up and subscribed.👍

Craven speed is good folks if you bought buckle holster and hate it (I did) send it back they will refund. By the way more pricey but GREAT are the sequential turn signals, they way brighter than the $49 dollar ones. I went cheap the first time, and removed them cause stock lights were brighter- saved the money and bought the Mx-5 ones…. They are way better. Worth the extra $ .

Hey Mr Miata, my first view of any of your vids and great job! You sold me on a couple of Items that I don't already have. I'm deff diggen the trunk poppers, led side markers and seat belt holster. I have the LED rear strip light and the Interior Seat belt warning overlay. I have the one that is the silhouette of the ST and love it. A couple of comments for you. I know your weren't loven the seat belt holster but Im gonna get it for use on the passenger side. Im guessing it wasnt intended for driver side use, I mean what would be the purpose of that? Passenger side use makes sense if your passenger seat is empty alot. One more tip for you. the LED rear strip light. You slit the plugs! Much better to simply drill a hole through the plugs then feed the wire through. I used a 3/16" drill bit. Pop the plugs, drill the hole in each. The hole is small, and with the rubber basically self healing. when feed the wire through its a nice snug fit around the wire and the plug remains intact, no chance of leaks and looks clean.

While it might be just outside the $100 range, I really like my FM hood lifters! I would give it a 24.
