IIT Jam 2016 aspirants appearing for the Mathematical Statistics Paper on February 7, 2016 have just under 3 months to prepare for the entrance test. Mathematical Statistics is one of the seven papers in JAM 2016. Some Facts about JAM 2016:

Organizing Institute: JAM 2016 is being organized by IIT Madras.

Test Papers: JAM 2016 will have seven test papers, namely, Mathematical Statistics (BL), Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH)

Exam Details: JAM 2016 examination will be conducted in ONLINE mode only. A candidate can appear in either one or two test papers subject to the restrictions of test schedule.

Virtual Calculator: The Exam will also feature a virtual calculator for the first time. Candidates will not be allowed to carry a calculator along with them to the exam.

Admit Card: JAM 2016 Admit Card will have to be downloaded by candidates from December 31, 2015 onwards and will not be available to candidates through any other means.

Score Card: The JAM 2016 Score Card will have to be downloaded by candidates.

JAM 2016 Mathematical Statistics Syllabus: The first step to take is to check the JAM 2016 Syllabus in detail to know the topics needed to study for the entrance test. Mathematical Statistics aspirants can check the topics in detail and start their preparation. It is advisable to check and list the topics as per their level of difficulty. Candidates may plan their study schedule accordingly.

The Mathematical Statistics (MS) test paper comprises of Mathematics (40% weightage) and Statistics (60% weightage).
