How can you tell whether you're sick? People can spread the virus before they show any symptoms. No mention that a lot of people infected will show no symptom at all. A mere sneeze or cough would left the virus in the air for hours. Wearing masks is the cheapest and easiest way to keep everyone safe when you have to be public places.

I am sorry, the WHO and CDC have told us incorrect information for weeks. Make your own mask from an old t-shirt. Wear it when you go outside. It can be washed and dried, or put outside for 30 minutes in the sun to disinfect it. It will help, just like washing your hands helps. Everything you do to protect yourself makes your chances of staying healthy better. Stay safe!

In “normal” times you should wear one only if you’re sick. In times like this you should always wear it as incubation period is extremely long and all this time you can transmit while not showing any symptoms.
