A brain injury caused by a blow to the head or a violent shaking of the head and body.⁣
This occurs from a mild blow to the head, either with or without loss of consciousness and can lead to temporary cognitive symptoms.⁣

Symptoms may include headache, confusion, lack of coordination, memory loss, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, ringing in the ears, sleepiness, and excessive fatigue.⁣

There's no specific cure for concussion. Rest and restricting activities allow the brain to recover. This means one should temporarily reduce sports, video games, TV, or too much socializing. Medications for headache pain, or odansetron or other anti-nausea medications can be used for symptoms.⁣

It's interesting that you went over this, I was pregnant with my first when I has a pretty severe concussion when I passed out and the back of my head hit a ring stand, then the concrete floor. I was out for hours, after my CT they patted me on my leg and said it's just a concussion you can return to work in a few days. For several years, it affected my ability to learn new academic information or do math. I have always heavily relied upon visual memories to learn new info. But I did some eye therapies about 10 years ago and that help tremendously. I still struggle with attention. But it's not as bad.
