Thanks, very helpful, I wish I watched this before manually assigning bones in chains.
For anyone who has different base pose you can edit pose from IK retargeter.

Thanks, to be honest I did not watch full video, leterally first 30 seconds helped me, I could not retarget IK bones in my project, and once I set retarget configs you mentioned in first 30 seconds, I was able to successfully retarget animation with IK bones to custom character

What should i do if my Retargeting Skeleton (My Character) is alot smaller Human than the Manni Base Skeleton ? i retargeted it and now my Character looks weird because hes too small for the Skeleton of Manni. any advice ?

My situation is that I'm trying to retarget animations from UE4 Mannequin actor to a metahuman. Does this apply as well since the step about 1 minute 22 retarget chain my pop up shows root - root - root_-2. I've followed some other tutorial, but retargeting was messed up concerning pistol holding etc.Hence, I came across this one, which looks promising.

It's still not working properly for me, my character is floating off the ground and the limbs look weirdly rotated and stretched in motion.

100% because has almost the same skeleton. how can you do this with something that doesnt have same type of skeleton.. different amount of spine bones, and different arm bone length ? ( i've a rig from an old 1999 game, i would love to retarget it. ot the ue4 manne skel

So what happened with the option of setting a skeleton humanoid and be done with it in 3 seconds? I cannot find that option. Do i have to do this for each animation pack i get?
