Gift Wrapping - How to Wrap a CYLINDER object

Paper size: standard origami paper (one sided) which is 5-7/8 inch square (150/150 mm).
This is an easy origami model I filmed this video from the viewer Point of View and in Real Time, so that it's easier to follow and to make the origami along with me.


Materials needed: paper, scissors, clear tape.
Time needed: around 5 minutes.

This wrapping is perfect for cylinder gift boxes.
We filmed the whole process, from measuring the paper to the final step.

I have a natral talent for wrapping stuff but even I didn't know got to wrap my cylinder, thanks for the video, the method works just try to keep it in one spot and not let the cylinder move too much after initial measurements. That's where you might mess up, and if you do don't panic just pull the tape off.

Last week on my brother's birthday I was in a hurry and tried wrapping a candle and somehow managed it :P

But this time I don't want to do the same mistake specially because it's my mom's birthday and I want to wrap everything perfectly and well in advance so that there's no last minute panicking :P

I had 7 candles to wrap. Once or twice I had to discard the wrapping paper because of all the creases and wrinkles I made on the paper :P

Practise and you will see it's really simple to do.
The process is very simple, just as shown in this fabulous video :)

But my last triangular fold on the candles' sides never came out neat enough :P all was okay, but I just could not get the the last part right :P

Edit : I have realised that my measurements were messed up! I had too much overlapping of wrapping paper :/ Next time I'll take care of this! 😊

I don't like adding tape to the gift as it ruins the packaging if a pretty gift, you can wrap it without doing that
