In one sign of how seriously the Gulf is looking at those sectors, Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala and AI firm G42 last year set up a healthcare-tech venture called M42. Soon afterwards, the entity snapped up European dialysis clinic chain Diaverum to create one of the largest health-care companies in the Middle East.
