The year this album came out my father passed away. I found comfort in this song. He raised 3 girls and 6 very gentle men " boys averaging 6ft" .
This song reminds me of him. He was the rock of my family.
I'm proud of his ability to send his children into the world doing no harm to others and taking care of them selves and our loved ones.
He lived his life being an example to his children. And an amazing example he was.

I didnt want to leave such a horrible comment but here it goes. On November 16th, 2005 i almost overdosed on speed. I had a problem and fucked up and took too much. I was living with my dad at the time and was too embarrassed to alert him. I spent the whole night throwing up, my heart beating at an ungodly rate and i knew i was going to die. I was so depressed at the time that i didnt care and put this song on the stereo and Nascar on the TV and waited to die. Obviously i survived because my mother called and brought me to the hospital and they pumped my stomach and saved me, but ill never, ever forget this song. I listened to it all night when i got home from the hospital. God bless Sarah McLachlan, i dont think id have called my mother without this song. Sometimes God seems to hand you things, this was one of them.
