This is a video tutorial demonstrates the mirror, linear pattern, and polar pattern tools individually and combined. I am using FreeCAD version 0.17.

Very impressive, both the description and the capability in this free tool. I am sure that an advanced CAD system has simular capabilities, however, as I am new to CAD this was eye-opening.

Great video! Please when you were doing the mirror pattern, as you were editing the values, a red preview of the mirror showed. Please how did you set it to show? I need it🥺 or is it a feature that has been removed from FreeCAD because I've literally gone through all the settings..

One little nuance: when you are doing the second polar pattern on the mutlipattern transform, don't you need only two copies instead of four? Because you are copyind an already existing quater-circle of holes (even if in a pattern format) and want it to become a half-circle.

how can you get rid of that plane if let's say you're trying to export the model to a 3d printer or some other machine?

The transformation function require atleast two object to work. If i extruded a shape and want to rotate and make 2 more copies. I finally want to take intersection of all the three. How can I do that ?

If the mirroring isn't working for any of you guys trying changing the main shape into a simple round disc with a hole in the middle. That's what I had to do to make it work.

what if you don't have the normal sketch axis there? I can't do the polar pattern without it

I tried to follow this but for some reason, the multitransform tool doesn't does what it suppose to do.

by objects go out if scope polar patters follow a different radius.Can you please tell me the reason this is happening and the solution.It always goes out and follows a huge radius which I don't know came to existence

Can't we just pattern along a curve offset from the inner edges?

I come from Creo environment. Hence the Q.

You present a lots of methods that don't move toward solution of what your objective is. There is a dated educational strategy called "TELL'EM": Tell'um what you're going to tell them.Tell'um. Tell'um what you've told'em.
It makes it easy to follow. It DOES NOT include false steps. Just move start to finish. Good directions to not explore blind alleys.

would have been better if you had done the sketch in a previous video. that way it would have been understood that the polar rotation was taking place around the around the sketch plane origin. Nice fail
